We want You(th)! Open seats on Youth Commission for high school students

Are you a high school student looking for an amazing civics leadership opportunity in the field of water? If you’re interested in water policy, water conservation and stewardship, and environmental justice issues, then consider joining Valley Water’s board advisory committee specifically designed for youth — the Youth Commission!

Valley Water is currently accepting applications for vacant seats on the Youth Commission in the following board districts: 1, 2, 3, 6 & 7. If you are interested or know of any young people aspiring to be a leader, a change agent, and an advocate for their peers, please encourage them to apply for this unique opportunity. To fill out an application, click here: http://bit.ly/2019-YC-Application.

Incoming high school freshmen for fall 2019 are welcome to apply. Outgoing seniors in spring 2019 are not eligible to apply. Youth applying for a seat on the commission must reside in the district they represent. To find out which Valley Water board district you live in, please go to https://www.valleywater.org  and scroll down to “The Water District in Your Area” map and type in your home address. You’ll be able to identify your Valley Water board member and district number. Appointments will be made by board members before the summer.

Applications are due by midnight Friday, April 26. Completed and signed applications can be emailed to youthcommission@valleywater.org, or you can mail a hard copy to:
