Valley Water oversees or manages about one-third of the creek channels in Santa Clara County, while the rest are owned by local agencies or private landowners. Owning or living near a creekside property can be both rewarding and challenging. We know how beautiful and calming it can be to live near a creek, but we also understand the real issues that can come with it, like erosion, flooding, or overgrown vegetation.
That’s why we created the Creekside Neighbor Rebate Program to help support you in taking care of your property and protecting your community. Through this program, you could be eligible for rebates of up to $150,000 for creek maintenance projects such as:
- Erosion repair and bank stabilization
- Sediment and debris removal
- Vegetation management
- Storm drain outfall repair
We want to help make these projects more affordable and easier to tackle. Our rebates are available for eligible construction and permit costs.
