Graywater Certification Courses launching in March

An innovative partnership between Valley Water and the nonprofit Ecology Action is bringing graywater certification courses to the South Bay. Beginning on March 6, 2019, subsidized courses to become a certified professional graywater installer will be offered at Valley Water’s campus in San José. This is the first certification program to be offered in the Bay Area.

This limited-time, comprehensive program will equip landscape professionals with an overview of California graywater codes and regulations, plants and products that are graywater compatible, appropriate plumbing and irrigation options; and laundry-to-landscape graywater design, installation and maintenance. The course series offers business owners valuable knowledge and training to expand sustainable gardening practices, increase business and referrals, and gain new skills.

The cost to participate is $150 per person (a $600 value), and program space is limited to 40 participants. Courses will be offered on Wednesday and Friday afternoons in March and will include one Saturday installation. For questions about the program, contact Sherry Bryan, Program Manager, at sbryan@ecoact.org.

Space is limited, so register now!

This effort is part of our commitment to providing a reliable water supply for our future needs. To learn about more programs to help residents and business owners make conservation a way of life visit www.watersavings.org.
