A key partner in the Pacheco Reservoir Expansion Project is the Grassland Water District, located in California’s Central Valley, south of the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta. The grassland is part of a critical delta ecosystem to provide food and breeding habitat for migratory birds using the Pacific Flyway.
In this brief video, Ric Ortega, General Manager of the Grassland Water District, explains how the Pacheco Reservoir Expansion Project will aid in preservation of one of the largest remaining wetlands in the west.
