Nobody likes to see trash in streams, and now you have an opportunity to help keep your local streams clean. Sign up for the San Martin Trash Bash, a creek-cleaning event that’s a collaboration between the Santa Clara Valley Water District, in collaboration with the Office of County Supervisor Mike Wasserman, the San Martin Neighborhood Alliance, the San Martin Chamber of Commerce and GreenWaste Recovery Inc.
Join us on Saturday, March 24 at 8:30 a.m. and help cleanup illegally dumped trash and litter in San Martin and local waterways. The water district is committed to protecting our environment by engaging the community to support environmental stewardship, such as helping to reduce contaminants entering our waterways.
Registration is open to all volunteers 16 years of age or older. Liability waivers must be signed by all volunteers or legal guardians. The following will be made available to volunteers:
- Community service hours available for students
- Cleanup supplies and safety gear will be provided
Please wear comfortable clothing and shoes. Volunteers will receive a complimentary lunch after the cleanup. The event will kick off at the Sig Sanchez Government Center at 80 Highland Ave, San Martin CA.
